2500 High Roof V6 Diesel 144" 4WD CUSTOM BUILD YOHO
Sprinter VAN
Information
Hands down one of the coolest Rigs you will ever see on or off the road. This Sprinter has a full Roambuilt Setup with every single Accessory you can imagine. From Bike Racks to Ski Racks, this UNIT can take you on any adventurer with minimal effort required.
The build was a deliberate effort to keep the vehicle warm, cool, and quiet. Throughout, all metals have five layers of material. Starting with the Dynamat sound deadening on all panels, then a complete QuietRide heat insulation kit. On top of the QuietRide is a Thinsulate barrier nestled in every nook within the Van, sandwiched by an air gap custom cut, waterproofed birch plywood with Low-E reflective foam core insulation glued to the inside. For added winter start power, an Espar Fuel-fired pre-heater/booster (17,000 BTU) is located in the engine and activated by remote control.
The floor also had the same effort and attention catered to it. To even out the corrugated floor, it was sourced with high-density kiteboard deck foam for the floor channels from North Shore Boards in Hood River, then layered QuietRide throughout the entire van floor front to back, added another layer of high-density foam, taped all grooves, and topped with 1/2 inch maple marine grade ply. This provided a quiet ride, toasty insulation, and a solid mounting deck for attaching rings, cabinets, etc.
There are dimmable LED lights throughout and enough USB outlets to charge 10+ Devices. The aux battery is from the factory and wired to power all internal components and the Espar heater. The wiring is a simple v.1 and is highly efficient with the high output alternator. Six new speakers were added including a subwoofer with an Alpine Wireless Carplay head unit.
The bed is an Overland Sprinter super lightweight yet stiff 3-panel setup customized with a foam layer and marine fabric that looks great when there is no mattress. The rails have been powder coated to inhibit rust and looks phenomenal.
There are aircraft tracks on the walls and floor designed for bikes and multiple bags to hang. This allows for hanging layers of coats, clothes, hats gloves etc. The kitchen is a simple IKEA hack with clever adds. Included are pop-out dish tubs on drawer sliders, cabinets that can hold all you need for food and kitchen gear.
The stock Sprinter Seats were swapped out for a pair of Luscious Scheel-Mann Vario Seats. Scheel-Mann is a top-of-the-line German-made seat with the fit and finish of the best carmakers in the world. Above is a full cabin shelf, easy controls for the house side of the van. There are multiple 2.4v USB plugs and shelves above the visors for more storage.
The outside is outfitted with a full RoamBuilt setup. Safari rack, front, rear guards, nerf bars, deep ladder for ski boots, five massive LED (spot and flood) on the roof, and two floods on the front bull bar. The roof rack has 2x 125w custom-painted solar panels wired to the house.
